For your soon-to-be operational wind or solar plant, hindcasts provide a wind or solar plant owner or operator an expectation of forecast behavior and accuracies at the site, allowing for increased preparedness and confidence in decision making and planning once the plant is operational. DNV Forecaster can be enabled in hindcast mode to deliver wind or solar power predictions at a given site for up to several years in the past. In addition, on-site or near-site met data can be used to produce and deliver an estimation of actual power production over the desired period.
