DNV to participate in IFPA’s Global Produce and Floral Show to talk sustainability, traceability and digitalization in the food supply chain
DNV Supply Chain & Product Assurance will participate in the International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Global Produce and Floral Show on 27-29 October in Orlando, Florida.
The IFPA is the largest and most diverse international association serving the entire fresh produce and floral supply chain. The Global Produce and Floral Show brings together buyers, suppliers, business solution providers, thought leaders, subject experts and more from around the world to discuss ideas, showcase the latest innovations and address industry challenges.
DNV, a member of the IFPA, is an assurance partner to businesses across the food and beverage supply chain, ensuring that their operations and processes meet industry requirements in terms of safety, sustainability, traceability and more.
DNV’s traceability solutions and digital assurance methods enable sustainability, ethical and safety issues to be monitored in real-time which allows for better food safety, effective supply chain management, robust ESG reporting, and transparent verification around green product claims.
Joy Laing, Global Director – Supply Chain Management at DNV, said, “We look forward to meeting with passionate industry professionals across the world this month. With FDA and EU regulations coming into force as early as 2023 meaning stricter traceability and transparency requirements for the food and beverage sector, businesses now need to ensure that solutions are in place to enable them to comply with these rules across their global supply chains well ahead of time.
“Farmers and producers of all sizes form an essential part of supply chains. Supporting them to assure their activities and implement digital solutions to enhance their operations will enable their businesses to become more robust, cost-effective and attractive, as well as to comply with the raft of regulations on the horizon.”
Joy Laing will be speaking on FSMA 204 (Food Safety Modernization Act) preparedness as part of the Food Safety & Tech X-Change (booth 3287) at 2pm on October 29.
