Updates to the calculation tools for shaft alignment making new results fully compatible with results in 2004-verison, improved reporting features and user interface are among the new features available in the February 2011 release of Nauticus Machinery.
For Nauticus Shaft Alignment we have added support for single support bearings with clearance so that the new results are fully compatible with results from the 2004-version. The report generator has been redesigned and we have done some improvements to the result/chart interfaces. There are a number of enhancements in the graphic modeller, such as rubber band selection, new symbols for various components and plot of inner diameter for hollow shafts.
For Nauticus Torsional Vibration we have added some new chart- and text results for angular displacement, velocity and acceleration. In addition there have been some important improvements to the damping models (dynamic magnifier) for diesel engines. Some of the tabular text results have also been changed to improve the reporting features.
Nauticus Gear Faceload and Gear Rating have been subjected to a number of user interface and calculation related enhancements based on feedback from our users.
For the Workflow Manager we have done some improvements in the history function and also improved the import and convert function. It is now fully possible to convert several hundred model files from the 2004-release just with a few mouse clicks and short time.

The February 2011 release consists of two installations:
