Lightweight and Multifunctional Materials
For many years the members of the LMM programme have been doing research on composite lightweight structures and joining methods. It was recently decided that the LMM programme shall shift its focus to exploring new topics in nanotechnology. The initial areas of interest are nanostructured materials and surfaces. The researchers dealing with composite lightweight structures and joining methods were transferred to DNV's Technology Services business area in September 2003 in order to commercialise their considerable expertise in this field.
