Business Controller - Busan, Region Korea

DNV Korea is engaged in all classification activities including Newbuilding, Certification of materials and components (CMC) as well as Ships in Operation. DNV Korea covers the world’s largest shipyards, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Samsung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries and STX, and also several medium sized shipyards like Sungdong, SPP and SLS. South Korea is also regarded as the 6th biggest ship owner nation with respect to Korean controlled fleet.
Major Duties
We are looking for a dedicated person being in close contact with the local management teams having a focus on financial items reporting to the Regional Business Support Manager.
• Supporting the local site/section/project managers in analyzing the monthly financial figures, implementing corrections with regard to time and project registration, analyzing project reports.
• Monitor financial and other measures which may indicate and ensure data quality and enforcement of the underlying work processes e.g. WIP, A/R, Chargeability, Operating Margins, etc. as well as actively search for other measurement indicators that may be used for monitoring the quality of our work processes enhancing personnel efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implementing changes to increase our efficiency in production and business support
• Supporting the Regional Business Support Manager in implementing new management processes, tools, etc.
• Permanent improving the quality of the reported figures.
• Heading the Pusan local administration group (cost controllers, invoicing group, office facilitator). • Interface between the units and central support functions (admin hub, ICT).
• Contract management on local supplier contracts.
• Ensuring the follow up of OP's and policies related to administration, supporting the development process.
• Supporting the local organizational development process.
• Develop and monitor other efficiency improvements and cost effective measures to optimize utilization of resources. • Facility management.
• Perform any other duties/responsibilities as requested by the Regional Management representatives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor within finance/accounting or MBA degree. Study/job experience in abroad is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.

Conditions of Employment
Location: Pusan, Korea
Duration: 1 years contract with possibilities for permanent position after the contractual period.
