DNV가 세계 선두의 에너지 컨설팅 기업이자 전기시험연구원인 KEMA의 지분 74.3%를 획득하면서 사실상 대주주가 되었다. DNV는 KEMA를 인수함으로서 신재생에너지 사업의 경쟁력을 강화하고 전력 발전 및 전송 사업분야에서 전문성을 넒혀갈 것으로 기대하고 있다.

DNV report confirms huge potential for Coal Bed Methane in Asia
Coal Bed Methane (CBM) may become as important for Asia and Australia, as shale gas has become for North America. This requires that the CBM industry manages to overcome critical commercial, technical and regulatory challenges. A DNV-facilitated study concludes that reliable verification schemes, more comprehensive performance monitoring systems, more specific environmental guidelines and more reliable risk mitigation options are needed to make this industry expand.

Sweden grants shipping certification authority to DNV
Oslo: DNV has been granted extended authorisation by the Swedish Transport Agency to act as a Recognised Organisation providing statutory survey services to Swedish-flagged vessels engaged in international trade. Effective from 1 September 2011, this increased responsibility for DNV has the strong support of the Swedish Shipowners’ Association, Sveriges Redare-Förening.

DNV to class world's most advanced seismic vessel
The new, fifth generation Ramform series seismic vessels of PGS is built at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Japan. The order for two seismic vessels plus two options which was signed in Oslo earlier this year. When completed in 2013 these vessels will be the most technically advanced seismic vessel featuring 3D seismic data acquisition and analysis capability. The vessels will be built to DNV class.
New DNV guidance addresses the optimal use of remote sensing technology for wind power projects
DNV has published a new Recommended Practice document that provides the wind power industry with in-depth knowledge about the use of remote sensing technology for characterizing wind resources. The document (DNV-RP-J101), which addresses the use of Sonic Detection And Ranging (SODAR) and Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) equipment, has been developed by DNV’s specialists in conjunction with equipment manufacturers and project developers.
